GCPS Transition Team

The GCPS Transition Team held its first of three meetings on August 11, bringing together more than 160 representatives from across the district and community. Team members were organized into five subcommittees: Academics; Communications & Community Engagement; School Culture & Climate; Human Resources & Talent Development; and Operations, Facilities & Finance. During the meeting, each subcommittee reviewed district data, identified key takeaways and questions, and discussed additional information needed to guide future work.
In addition, 25 students representing elementary, middle, and high schools participated in a student focus group. Students shared their experiences, including moments when they felt proud of their learning and aspects of school they most enjoy, as well as areas for improvement.
